A recent study showed that high rents in large German cities constitute an obstacle for companies in their pursuit of skilled workers.

According to the study, conducted by the administrative consulting company, “Price Waterhouse Copers”, many Germans believe that the high housing prices constitute a great burden for life in major cities, and the matter is to the point that a third of them consider changing their functions due to the high rents, and a lesser percentage of Germans has already changed their functions, due to high rental prices in major cities.

For the study, the opinions of 4,000 people working in 12 major cities were surveyed.

The poll showed that the vast majority of Germans classify life in the big city as enjoyable, because of the potential for shopping, cultural offers, and job opportunities, while two -thirds of the participants expressed their dissatisfaction with the rents.
