For his part, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs, Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al-Mansouri, said that the work team began searching immediately after the wife’s confessions about the lover, who is called (K.B.), from the Comoros. He was arrested within hours and he admitted that he had contacted the victim at approximately three o’clock in the morning. He continued that the accused admitted that he left the victim tied in the back seat, taking advantage of the difficulty of seeing him through the hidden glass of the car, and informed the wife that he would dispose of the body, and bought a can of gasoline, then headed to Al Qusais Industrial Area until he found a place near a warehouse, and while unloading the victim, he felt… That he was still alive, so he put his head at the end of the car door and hit him with the door several times, then ran over him more than once until he was sure he was dead.
The accused added that he poured gasoline on the victim and burned his body, then drove off in the car, leaving the body burning with fire. At a close distance from the scene of the accident, he disposed of the gasoline can by throwing it in the street. He fled from the same place, then informed his mistress of what had happened, and they agreed not to reveal anything and to inform his family that he had gone. For fishing.
Al-Mansouri confirmed that the criminal investigation team faced a major challenge in the beginning, which was the lack of evidence indicating the identity of the victim, as the body was without fingerprints or features. The defendants also tried to guide the team to the hypothesis that he disappeared at sea, but specific elements were chosen from experts.
