This is the fourth accident of its kind in less than two months. Last Sunday, the six-year-old Yemeni student, Shahad Abdul Raouf Al Shaibani, died as a result of her serious injury in a run-over accident she was exposed to early last week, while getting off the school bus in front of her house in the Al Fayhaa area in the city of Sharjah. The child Hoda Ali Ghazal also died in Ras Al Khaimah about a month ago, and the child “Hind” in Dubai suffered a fracture at the bottom of the skull in a similar accident due to “the absence of supervision on school buses,” according to investigations.

In detail, the child’s father, Ali Matar, said that a car driven by a young citizen in his twenties hit his son, who studies in the “Al-Buraq” government school in the Ras Al Khaimah Educational District, while he was turning from behind the bus to enter the house, and the child fell to the ground with injuries and bruises on his face. And his legs.

The father of the child, Khalifa, held the school responsible for the accident because there was no supervisor inside the bus to deliver the child safely to the entrance of the house. He also held the bus driver partly responsible for standing far from the homes. He also held the young man who ran over his son responsible, indicating that he should have waited. Until the child passes.

The number of deaths and serious injuries, including 554 cases, out of a total of 3,600 deaths and serious injuries in traffic accidents, with children’s accidents constituting 15% of the total number of deaths and serious injuries.

The child’s father stated that his son is still lying in Al Dhaid Hospital, pointing out that his injury is not serious, as it was limited to bruises and wounds to the face, head and legs, stressing the role of the Ministry of Education in protecting school students. While an official source at Al-Buraq School described the incident as simple, without providing further details.

For his part, Deputy Director of the Educational District in Ras Al Khaimah, Hussein Jaber, confirmed that he did not know the details of the incident, noting that the student’s family had not filed a complaint with the directorate.

He pointed to the Ministry of Education’s directives to appoint female supervisors on school buses, starting next year, and added, “The Ministry circulated this circular to educational districts, and it will be implemented in all schools soon.”

The day before yesterday, the Ministry of Education decided to spend 10 million dirhams in a special budget for government schools, to provide escorts on school buses for kindergartens and schools in the first stage of basic education. In turn, the director of Al Dhaid Hospital, Ali Al Shamsi, confirmed that the police report according to which the child was admitted to the hospital confirms that the child was subjected to a run-over accident, caused by a speeding car, indicating that the injuries are not frightening, as they are wounds and bruises on the face, head and legs, and the child is still In the hospital under supervision.

Dubai Prosecution accused her of negligence in protecting the child. Referral of a supervisor and drivers to court in the case of running over “Hind”

The Traffic Prosecution in Dubai referred: (M.A.A.), a student of Pakistani nationality, 19 years old, “F.H.R.,” a Pakistani driver, 40 years old, and (F.F.A.), an Indian nationality, 42 years old, who is a school bus supervisor. To the traffic court on various charges in the incident of running over the child, Hind Marwan Abdullah Abdul Rahman, an Emirati national (seven years old), according to the head of the Dubai Traffic and Traffic Prosecution, Counselor Salah Boufarousha Al Falasi, who indicated that referring the supervisor due to negligence in protecting the child, is an unprecedented decision from the prosecution. After careful study of the details of the incident and review by the concerned parties.

Al-Falasi explained that the prosecutor who investigated the case, Nahair Al-Habashi, completed all necessary legal procedures with the competent authorities, and the investigations ultimately concluded that the accused were referred to the traffic court, pointing out that the prosecution will demand that the accused be punished in accordance with the federal traffic, traffic, and penal laws.

It is noteworthy that the child Hind suffered a brain hemorrhage and various other injuries, when she was run over by a vehicle after getting off the school bus, and while crossing the road to her home on a side street in the Hamriya area, due to wrong overtaking by the vehicle driver (M.A.A.) and his lack of appreciation for the users. The way.

Al-Falasi told Emirates Al-Youm that the prosecution held the Pakistani student (M.A., 19 years old) directly responsible for the accident after the prosecution’s inspection and the traffic attendant’s report proved that he crossed from a prohibited place, which led to him running over the child. The same charges were also brought. To the supervisor, after confirming her failure to comply with her duties and her negligence in protecting the child.

He added that the Traffic Prosecution addressed the school where the child was studying, and confirmed that there were explicit instructions to the supervisors to accompany the children until they were handed over to their families or to their homes, pointing out that through witness testimony, the prosecution confirmed that the Indian supervisor had left the child to go down the street alone, which was made up of lanes. Only, the parking of the bus obstructed the view of the person coming from behind, in addition to the girl’s failure to understand the dangers of the road, in addition to the recklessness of the overtaking driver, and all of these factors led to the girl being run over.

He pointed out that the Traffic Prosecution will demand the implementation of the text of Article 343/1 of the Federal Penal Code, which stipulates that anyone who accidentally causes harm to the body safety of another person shall be punished by imprisonment for a period not exceeding one year and a fine not exceeding 10,000 dirhams, or by one of these two penalties. The penalty shall be imprisonment for a period not exceeding 10,000 dirhams. More than two years, and a fine, or one of these two penalties, if the crime occurred as a result of the perpetrator’s violation of what was imposed on him by the principles of his job or profession when the incident occurred.

Al-Falasi stated that the prosecution will demand the implementation of the text of Article 58 of the Traffic Law, which stipulates that if the court proves that a person has been convicted of a crime related to driving a motor vehicle, it may suspend the driving license he holds for a certain period, and deprive him of the right to obtain a renewed license for another period after Expiration of the suspended license.

Al-Falasi said that the text of Article 38 of the Federal Penal Code specifies forms of error, including negligence, lack of attention, lack of precaution, and failure to observe laws, regulations, regulations, or orders, pointing out that the supervisor tried to distance the accusation from herself during the investigations and confirm that she was not responsible for running over the child. However, the prosecution has sufficient evidence of its involvement, and the final word remains with the court.

He added that the prosecution charged the driver of the school bus from which the child got off with a charge of endangering the lives of others by getting off and on, given that he was standing in a place not designated for parking, indicating that it was necessary in this case for the supervisor to at least get off with the child to ensure her safe arrival to her home. .
