The former national football team and Sharjah Club player, Issa Mir, said that he and his brother Ibrahim Mir are fine, after the boat they were traveling in was exposed to an explosion and fire in the Mushayrif area of Ajman, at dawn last Saturday, indicating that he and his brother immediately received the necessary treatment at Khalifa Hospital. In Ajman, the accident was simple.
Issa Mir told Emirates Al-Youm: “I reassure everyone that I and my brother (Ibrahim) are fine, and as for me, I left the hospital yesterday, while (Ibrahim) continues treatment in the hospital, after suffering a minor injury, and is expected to leave the hospital at any time.”
Ibrahim and Issa Mir (left and right backs, respectively) are considered among the most prominent players of the golden generation of the UAE national football team, as they participated in the 90th World Cup in Italy, and each of them has a long football career full of distinction and achievements, whether with the national team or the Sharjah Club.
The two brothers, distinguished in football, began their football careers at the football school of the Sharjah Club in the 1979 season, and progressed with the club by playing with it in its various age groups, until they reached the first team in 1984, and they also played with the national teams in their various categories, reaching the first team in 1986. However, their actual appearance with the “Whites” began in 1987. Their participation with the national team in the World Cup finals in Italy in 1990 is considered the most prominent of their football stations.
