The Anti-Narcotics Department at the General Command of Ajman Police, and the General Administration for Federal Narcotics Control in the country, arrested a person of one of the Gulf nationalities, on charges of possession and promotion of narcotic substances.
The Director of the Narcotics Control Department at Ajman Police, Colonel Saeed Hamid Nasser, indicated that the department had received information indicating that there was a Gulf person, in his twenties, nicknamed “Titi,” in possession of a quantity of narcotic pills with the intention of promoting and trading them.
After taking all legal measures and verifying the accuracy of the information, a work team was formed to arrest the accused. Narcotics control officers caught him red-handed while he was beginning to extract narcotic substances that were buried in a sandy area near the accused’s house. 3,109 tablets of narcotics were seized. When asked, he admitted that he possessed this quantity of narcotic substances, for the purpose of promoting and trafficking, and therefore the case was referred to the Public Prosecution in Ajman, to complete the legal procedures.
Colonel Nasser praised the coordination and cooperation existing between the Ministry’s General Department of Drug Control and the country’s drug control departments, and the work of their men in confronting drug dealers and users, stressing the ability and efficiency of drug control men in field work, and dealing firmly and forcefully, in accordance with legal procedures, in confronting anyone who beggars.
