Emirati golfers took the lead in the second edition of the Arab Professional Championship, which took place on the courts of the Mazagan Beach and Golf Resort in El Jadida, Morocco, and the curtain came down on it the day before yesterday, with the participation of more than 46 players.
Emirati golf professionals succeeded in grabbing first and second place in the tournament, which spanned over two days, with young talent Jonathan Selvaraj taking the lead with four strokes under par, two strokes ahead of his colleague Joshua Grenfell Wood.
UAE players continued to shine in the tournament standings, as in addition to Jonathan topping the list despite competing in the amateur category, Emirati Sam Mullan ranked sixth in the amateur category.
The three players will participate again next week in the Ras Al Khaimah Championship on the DP World Golf Tour.
