Uruguayan Garcia is on his way to Shabab Al-Ahly

The Uruguayan newspaper “Sport Deportivo” reported that Penarol team player, Damian Garcia (21 years old), is on his way to move to Shabab Al-Ahly Club, in preparation for his registration in the resident category during the current winter transfer period, in a heavy-caliber deal for the “Dubai Knights.”

Garcia is considered one of the most prominent young players in Uruguay. He was the second player who intercepted the most passes in the 2024 Libertadores Cup, with the youth team. He plays in the defensive midfield position and plays primarily with the Penarol team. He also won the World Youth Cup with Uruguay.

Garcia was crowned the best young player in Uruguay a few days ago, and was also in the league’s squad of the season.

The Transfermarkt website stated that the player’s market value is 3.5 million euros, and the player’s name was linked to the Saudi League, as there was talk, a few days ago, about his transfer to Al-Shabab Club.
