The Taekwondo team shines with 9 Arab medals

The national team held nine colored medals, during its participation in the Arab Cup of Taekwondo Championship, which concluded yesterday in the Zayed Sports Complex, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, and was organized by the Emirates Federation, and the Fujairah Fujairah Martial Arts Club, in cooperation with the Arab Federation of the game, and witnessed Also crowning the players and players of the state clubs with 22 colored medals.

At the level of the members of the national team, the Fujairah Martial Arts Club and the national team, Mazoun Issa, won a gold medal, and her teammate, Sharjah Women, Amna Al -Logani, received the silver, while seven heroes crowned the bronze medal, they are: Marwan Ali, Muhammad Saif, Sarah Rashid Al -Ketbi, and Maria Al -Ansari Majda Al -Ketbi, Haya Tammal, and Rania Al -Nuaimi. At the level of Emirates clubs, the Sharjah Women Sports Club, Yasser Yasser, the Gold Medal, and her colleague Salma Ahmed Al -Fadda, for 20 bronze for players and players of Fujairah Martial Arts, Sharjah for Self -Defense, Sharjah and Sharjah for women’s sport.

For his part, the director of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club and director of the Arab Cup and Fujairah International Taekwondo, Nader Abu Shawish, told «Emirates Today» that “organizing successive championships for Taekwondo is the latest qualitative shift and a phase of Emirati and Arab Taekwondo by providing wide competitive opportunities.” He added: “These tournaments succeeded in exploring distinguished players, including the champion Ahmed Khamis from the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, who managed to win the first Arab gold in the Grand Prix (Grand Salam Youth 2024) in China, which reflects the achievement of one of the most important goals. He continued: «The Fujairah Martial Arts Club organized five championships in the Arab Cup, and 12 Championships for Fujairah International Taekwondo, and in all these tournaments there were international players and many technical benefits.
