He added that the pilot of the plane discovered that a fire had occurred in the cockpit, and thick smoke rose, shortly after the plane took off from Dubai Airport on its way out of the country, so he tried to return again to the airport and land there, but he failed to do so, and then the plane disappeared from the screens. radar, and a huge fire broke out in the plane that crashed.

He said that the civil aviation authorities have actually begun an extensive investigation to uncover the causes and circumstances of the accident, while the initial results indicate that a technical malfunction occurred in the cockpit, which led to the accident, pointing out that the investigation into the accident will take a long period of time, which may reach a full year. Al-Suwaidi indicated that the civil aviation authorities will search for the black box, as soon as the fire, which remained burning for more than two hours after the plane crash, is extinguished. He confirmed that the plane was registered with the civil aviation authorities in the country, and entered the country legally, and the US civil aviation authorities will be contacted to complete information about the plane.

In a statement published on its website, UPS confirmed that the accident occurred after the plane took off from Dubai, towards the German city of Cologne. The company’s director of operations, Bob Litex, said: “It is a very unfortunate accident, and we will do everything we can to find out the reason, and we will not make speculation about these reasons.”
