The AM team, led by Sheikha Alia Al Maktoum, won the UAE Polo Federation Championship Cup, defeating the Abu Dhabi team 8-7 in the final match that was held at the Emaar stadiums at the Dubai Polo Club in Arabian Ranches.
The Bin Dari team, led by Rashid Bin Dari, won third place by defeating the Al Basha team 8-5.
The winners were crowned by the Vice President of the UAE Polo Federation, Saeed Bin Dari, the Federation’s Board of Directors member, Mohammed Al Raqbani, the Noon Team Leader, Rashid Mohammed Al Abbar, and the Club’s General Manager, Nayef Bu Hamdan. For her part, Sheikha Alia Al Maktoum expressed her happiness at winning the championship cup for the first time, and said in press statements: “This victory came after the distinguished cooperation between the team members, and I thank the Emirates Polo Federation for the great efforts it provides to the game, its practitioners and its stars, and thanks go to the Dubai Polo Club.” And equestrianism, which has harnessed all means to reach the highest levels of success in the tournament.”
