For the first time, Salik expands outside Dubai

SALIC, the exclusive operator of toll gates in Dubai, has announced a strategic partnership with Parkonic, the largest private sector parking operator in the UAE, known for its advanced free-flowing parking systems powered by artificial intelligence.

This collaboration aims to enhance parking payment experiences across the UAE by integrating Salik’s advanced e-wallet system.

Under a five-year agreement, Parkonic will integrate the Salik e-wallet into its current 107 locations, as well as all future locations it operates, streamlining and modernizing parking transactions for customers.

Under the terms of the agreement, Parkonk will promote the Salik system as the preferred payment channel for its customers in all current and future locations, leveraging Salik’s ability to provide a seamless and convenient payment option for paid parking.

To provide the e-wallet services, Parkunk will pay SALIC a percentage of its share of parking revenues generated from the Salik e-wallet. The solution is expected to be available to Parkonk’s approximately 135,000 parking spaces during the first quarter of 2025.
