The “Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Center” participates in the activities of the “Dubai International Aviation Exhibition 2017”, the most prominent exhibition at the international level, which has great attention between the world of aviation and technology related to space, and will be held during the period between 12 and 16 November. The center revealed that during its participation, a model will be presented to the “Al -Amal probe” with its real size, and highlights the scheme and goals of hosting the “International Space Conference 2020”, in addition to other programs launched and led by the center under the “National Space Program”.

The Director General of the “Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center”, Youssef Hamad Al -Shaibani, considered that participating in this session of the “Dubai International Air Fair” gives us a valuable opportunity to highlight the “National Space Program” and highlight one of its ambitious programs “Emirates Project for Explore Mars -” Marsab Hope, “the first Arab and Islamic project to explore outer space,” noting that “the project is of great importance, as it offers the UAE in a way that enhances its presence in the international space community, and it also reflects the development of the development state in the fields of science and technology.”

Al -Shaibani stressed that “participation opens up in front of us broad prospects for communicating with major international companies and international bodies related to the space sector to build strong strategic relations and discuss the latest issues, developments and accelerating changes in the field,” noting “the increasing confidence that the international community gives to the Emirati space sector through support Which appeared by the center’s victory by hosting the “International Space Conference 2020” in Dubai.

Al -Shaibani added: “Our presence this year in the event, which is considered a global interactive platform in aviation and space -related technology, confirms the great progress made by the space sector in the country, which is full of integrated elements and strategic advantages for various space activities, starting with satellite manufacturing and in order to explore space for peaceful purposes “.


The center’s mockery will have a participation in discussion sessions held in the “Space Pavilion” in the exhibition, during a first discussion session in which Imran Sharaf, director of the “Emirates Mars Exploration Project” – “The Probe of Hope” entitled “Global Exploration of Mars”, which includes a number of axes among them Preparing for Mars and exploring space, which takes us to reach a person to Mars, and what does the UAE project to explore Mars for the development of global space. Also, there will be a participation of the engineer Amal Amin, director of the “nanotechnic satellite program for university students”- “Annub” in a dialogue beam titled “Development of Education Systems and Inspiration of the New Generation”, which will shed light on the “National Space Program”, developing national skills, National programs and institutions specialized in space, and the development of citizen human capital through cooperation and partnerships.


The Emirates Mars Explore Project – “Mabn al -Amal” is considered one of the most prominent international projects to explore Mars, especially as it will present the first comprehensive model on the atmosphere of Mars, through a comprehensive scientific study on how the atmosphere and weather changes change throughout the day and through all seasons of the year continuously. The “probe of hope” for the global scientific community interested in studying the planet’s secrets will provide new data and information that no previous task has previously provided on the atmosphere of the Red Planet. One of the most important goals of the project is to build national capabilities in space research, and the establishment of a group of Emirati scientists in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The probe will start in the middle of 2020, when it travels 600 million km to reach the Red Planet by 2021, coinciding with the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the UAE Federation.


The height of the “probe of hope” is 6 meters and a width of 4 meters, as it will approach the ton and half. On the other hand, the probe includes three scientific tools that include a digital camera, a spectrum scale for ultraviolet radiation and an infrared spectrum scale, which will study climate changes on Mars, by studying the reasons for hydrogen gaseous leakage and oxygen towards space, knowledge of the relationship and interaction between the upper and lower layers Mars. The “probe of hope” will revolve in a wide and oval orbit, its height ranges from the surface of the planet between 22,000 and 44,000 km, as the probe will take place in a major scientific path to collect different data from weather changes throughout the day and through all seasons of the year continuously.
