The organizing committee of the Emirates Challenge for Tactical Teams in Dubai Police announced the details of the sixth edition of the “Emirates Challenge for Tactical Teams 2025”, whose activities will begin on the first of next February, in the training city in Al Ruwayyah in Dubai, explaining that this year’s challenge is the largest in terms of the number of teams. Participation since 2019, reaching 114 teams from 48 countries from different continents of the world, including eight countries participating for the first time, five women’s teams, in addition to six teams participating for the first time. The organizing committee of the UAE Challenge for Tactical Teams confirmed its full readiness to start the activities at the organizational and field levels, with the start of the influx of teams participating in the challenge, whose prizes reach $260,000. Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations Affairs, Major General Abdullah Ali Al-Ghaithi, confirmed that the challenge this year witnessed the registration of the largest number of teams wishing to take part in the challenge, as 73 teams had registered in its fifth edition last year, while in the fourth edition in 2023, 55 teams had registered. In its third edition in 2022, there were 34 teams, and in the second edition in 2020, there were 46 teams, while the number of teams in the first edition that coincided With the launch of the challenge globally in 2019, 61 teams.
The international teams participating in the challenge will compete in five challenges: “Tactical Operations Challenge,” “Attack Challenge,” “Officer Rescue Competition,” “High Tower Challenge,” and “Overcoming Obstacles.” He pointed out that each competition requires each team to To follow tactical methods, physical fitness, and high skill abilities in order to score points on a daily basis.
The challenge aims to enhance the space for exchanging experiences between the participating tactical teams, and to provide an opportunity to learn about the latest international practices in the field of work of rapid intervention unit teams.
