Al -Badel in the UAE has witnessed remarkable growth in recent years, as it has become a sport that is widely popular among the various groups of society.
This spread is due to the great support from the official authorities and sports bodies, in addition to the increasing investments in the establishment of facilities and infrastructure allocated to this sport.
According to statistics provided by the Al -Badel Federation, to «Emirates Today», the number of stadiums in the Emirates has doubled by 100% during the last three years, as it is currently 600 stadiums, compared to 300 stadiums in 2022.
These stadiums covered the increasing turnout of young people and families, whether residents or expatriates in the Emirates, on that sport due to the ease of exercise and their contribution to strengthening social ties.
This great growth encouraged many investors to create new stadiums and clubs, especially with the increasing demand for them.
300 local championships supervised by the game federation are held on these stadiums, unlike 20 international championships that will be held throughout the year.
These stadiums benefit approximately 200 clubs, including 150 clubs officially registered in the federation’s records.
The Al -Badel Federation stated that the number of players who record an annual activity at the game level has approached 13 thousand people, participating in recreational activities and in tournaments organized by the game Federation, at a time when the number of players registered in the Federation’s statements reached 4000 players.
For his part, the Secretary -General of the Emirates Federation of Park, Saeed Al -Marri, stressed that the Al -Badel game began to spread and expand, whether in the Emirates or in the region in general through the Nad Al -Sheba course, which started its competitions through two or three categories at the latest, and today with Nad Al -Sheba course reached its 12th copies, the competitions reached seven different groups that witness the participation of athletes from all age groups in the Emirates and the Gulf, along with the presence of professionals and international champions.
He told «Emirates Today»: “The Nad Al -Sheba Championship initially helped the federation to discover many talents that emerged after that, and with the expansion of the number of championships in the country, the number of interested people and the lovers of the game was increasing and this matter we would aspire to, and had it not been for the support of the wise leadership of that sport, this spread and quick success, especially His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, would be achieved That game from its inception until today. ”
He added: «Al -Badel is one of the sports that makes it easier for any family member to practice, and with the direction of Dubai to sport, and strengthening the concept of sport a lifestyle for all residents in it, Al -Badel attracted the majority to it because it has different features, as it is suitable to be a community sport, as well as a competitive sport that protects individuals from obesity.
The Secretary -General of the Emirates Federation for the Pharmacy revealed the opening of permanent communications channels with the International Federation of the game, in an effort to achieve more spread and development at the level of that sport.
He said: «We work with the International Federation extensively on the spread of the Al -Badel game more and according to an advanced level, whether in the UAE or in the region in general, and according to numbers and statistics, the paid game is spreading quickly.
He added: «Our basic policy in the Al -Badel Federation is based on attracting world championships, and creating a strong league that will be the best in the region, with the greatest interest in international international players and attracting them to Dubai, to engage in open camps and hold competitions between them here with the availability of stadiums and distinctive infrastructure, which will reflect positively at the level of our players due to their contact with them.
On the plans of the Al -Badel Federation to preserve the achievements of the game at the international level, Al -Marri explained: “The goal of the greatest federation is to preserve the (Al -Safwa) team, in cooperation with the Nad Al -Sheba Academy, we have an academy for the elite in which approximately 40 players to support the first team in the coming years, so that our team will continue in the global competition.”
He continued: «Today the Fifth Emirates in the world in Al -Badel, and if we do not have sustainability, vision and strategy that is prepared for young players according to the latest methods, this achievement will be lost on us, and this in general is what we focus on for the national team, in addition to the interest in other matters that I talked about, including societal competitions and international and local championships.
