15.8 billion dirhams in hotel room revenues in Dubai in 11 months


The revenues recorded by hotel rooms in Dubai, during the first 11 months of last year, amounted to 15.87 billion dirhams, compared to 14.97 billion dirhams during the same period of the previous year 2023, with a growth rate of about 6%, according to data issued by the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai, Emirates Today obtained a copy of it.

The revenues were calculated based on the average daily revenue per available room per number of hotel nights sold, while the increase in revenues of hotel establishments operating in Dubai is attributed to the increase in the average revenue per room, in addition to the significant growth in the size of the hotel market.

According to data issued by the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai, the number of hotel nights booked during the period between January and November 2024 increased by 3% to reach 39.19 million nights, compared to about 38 million nights during the same period of the previous year, while the rate of return on the room increased. Available prices increased by about 3% to 405 dirhams, compared to 394 dirhams.

The hotel room occupancy rate in Dubai reached 78% in the first 11 months of 2024, compared to an average occupancy of 77% during the same period of the previous year.

The latest statistics from the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai, on the performance of the tourism sector and the numbers of international visitors, showed that the emirate attracted 16.79 million international tourists during the first 11 months of 2024, compared to 15.37 million tourists during the same period in 2023, with a growth rate of about 9%. .
