1500 swimmers participate in “Dubai International Water Games” today


The swimming championship competitions will start today within the Dubai International Water Games Championship, which was adopted by the International Federation to be qualified for the World Water Games Championship held in Singapore 2025, and 1500 swimmers and swimming representing 90 clubs and academies from 40 countries, including Olympion stars led by Elia Shimanovic and Film Squanovich, are held in Hamdan Sports Complex, in cooperation with Emirates Swimming Federation and Dubai Sports Council.

The championship competitions continue for three days and include free swimming, back swimming, chest swimming, butterfly swimming, in which participants compete within the junior and open categories and Master from the age of nine to 60 years, and the distances are varied between 50, 100, 200, 400, 800 and 1500.

The organizing committee had closed the door for registration to participate in the tournament early, due to the completion of the number of participants after receiving a very large number of requests for participation from all over the world, in a clear indication of the escalating international momentum achieved by the tournament year after another, and reflects the great enthusiasm to participate in the event.

The Dubai Sports Council stated, in a press statement, that the swimming competitions come within the Dubai International Water Games Championship, which includes five water sports games: diving, water ball, swimming in open water, rhythmic swimming, competitive swimming, and the number of participants in total sports reached more than 2200 athletes and sports.

The council said that the tournament contributes to attracting and discovering many talented athletes from inside and outside the country, as it contributes to enhancing competitiveness and developing technical aspects in various water sports among local athletes in state clubs and academies, and the tournament is characterized by its diversity of levels, which enriches competition and gives athletes the opportunity to contact with multiple experiences and experiences from various international swimming schools.


58 Events in the Hamdan Sports Complex

This tournament comes from 58 diverse international and local sporting events held in the Hamdan Sports Complex annually, and includes 28 Olympic and non -Olympic sports games, in addition to the many societal events and training camps for teams, teams and Olympic heroes who choose the Hamdan Complex to be the headquarters of their training, in preparation for the largest international championships.
