16.6 thousand new Indian companies join the “Dubai Chamber” membership in 2024


The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dubai Chambers, Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al -Mansoori, discussed, during his reception of the Indian Ambassador to the country, Sinjay Sodahar, yesterday, ways to enhance trade and investment relations between Dubai and India.

The meeting comes in light of the importance of Dubai as a favorite investment and commercial destination for Indian companies and businessmen, as India was first dissolved in the number of foreign new companies joining the membership of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce during the year 2024, with 16 thousand and 623 new Indian companies joining the Chamber’s membership.

The two parties stressed during the meeting held at the headquarters of Dubai Chambers, in the presence of the Director General of Dubai Chambers, Mohamed Ali Rashid Lootah, the importance of close economic cooperation between Dubai and India, and the need to expand the scope of bilateral work between the two sides at all commercial and investment levels.

The two sides also discussed the Dubai’s global logistical passport initiative to increase commercial opportunities, facilitate the flow of trade around the world, reduce cost, and shorten time in logistics services, as well as open prospects for access to new opportunities in the global markets of the initiative members.

Al -Mansouri stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation with India in the field of information technology, and taking advantage of joint experiences to enhance digital and technical solutions in the field of logistical and aviation services.

He said: «In light of the continuous momentum in the relations between Dubai and India, Indian companies topped the first rank in terms of the number of foreign companies operating in Dubai, and contributes to a vital role in the growth of all sectors of business.

Al -Mansouri continued: “We are committed to supporting the Indian business community to continue expanding in various sectors, and starting from Dubai to promising global markets as an ideal platform for business growth, in conjunction with the motivation of companies operating in the emirate to develop their partnerships with its Indian counterparts,” pointing out that the Indian Business Council working under the umbrella of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce contributes to an effective role in promoting inter -trade relations.

According to the Dubai Chambers’ statement, the meeting reviewed the promising prospects for Dubai for Indian businessmen, especially the expansion of global markets from the emirate, and the benefit of the DP World Chamber Library, which includes 33 offices around the world, to stimulate the expansion of Indian companies in regional and international markets by taking advantage of Dubai’s position as a global pioneering axis for trade and investment.

It is noteworthy that the Dubai World Chamber has a representative office in Mumbai, who plays an effective role in attracting Indian investments, and helping Dubai companies to expand and grow in India.
