The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority supports a culture of volunteering rooted in Emirati society.
In line with the Dubai Social Agency 33, and based on its social responsibility, the authority is keen to enhance its contribution to building a coherent society that preserves its identity, and launch many initiatives and programs aimed at encouraging those concerned to give priority to sustainable volunteer work, and give it special importance alongside professional work, and institutionalize volunteer work among employees according to the highest international standards.
During the year 2024, the authority’s employees recorded 16,870 thousand voluntary hours in humanitarian and community initiatives, benefiting 5,047 million people in the UAE and abroad, and the authority launched 27 community initiatives, and the percentage of community happiness from the authority reached 94.51%. Between 2013 and 2024, the authority launched 465 community initiatives, during which employees and employees of the authority recorded 249.84 thousand voluntary hours in humanitarian and societal initiatives that many countries have benefited from around the world.
“During my work years with the authority, I participated in many volunteer campaigns, such as the (school bag) campaign, (Mir Al -Khair), in addition to (Expo 2020 Dubai), (COP28 Conference) and (World Government Summit), through which I touched the commitment of the established body the principles of giving and community action.
