19.2 thousand buildings completed in Abu Dhabi until September 2024


Construction activity in Abu Dhabi achieved remarkable growth during the past year 2024, as the emirate witnessed the completion of about 19,275 buildings during the first nine months of the year, including the completion of new construction, modifications, and additions in all regions of the emirate.

Based on preliminary official data issued by the Department of Municipalities and Transport and the Statistics Center in Abu Dhabi, the buildings were distributed by 17,394 new buildings in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra, while additions were completed in 733 buildings during the same period, in addition to modifying 1,148 other buildings, and the total amounted to Building permits, during the first three quarters of 2024, about 6,677 permits, including 4,732 new building permits, And 1,518 modification licenses, and 427 licenses for additions.
