An analysis conducted by the travel application “Wigu”, about travel trends for the UAE residents during Ramadan 2025, showed that the search for international trips from the Emirates recorded an increase of 32.45%, compared to last year, which reflects an increasing demand for travel during Ramadan.
According to the results of the analysis revealed by the application, in a statement issued yesterday, the list of the most searched destinations from the UAE during Ramadan: Egypt, India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the Philippines, Lebanon, Morocco and Nepal, where these destinations witnessed remarkable growth in the search operations this year, with Nepal (214.76%), and Pakistan (82.65%) the highest rates of increase, compared to last year.
According to «Wigo», this list confirms the traditional Ramadan destinations, which indicates the continuation of the flights to the homeland (visiting the family), religious travel, and quick vacations, as main factors in the plans of traveling the UAE residents during this period.
The analysis indicated that this growth was accompanied by a noticeable increase in the prices of aviation tickets, as flight prices recorded nine out of 10 common Ramadan destinations on “Wigu” annually, as Egypt topped (42.29%) and Lebanon (40.94%) the list of the largest increases.
On the other hand, Jordan was the only exception, as it witnessed a slight decline in the price of trips by 1.17%, compared to 2024.
The analysis pointed out that travelers from the UAE tend to prior planning for trips during the month of Ramadan, where most of Ramadan 2024 trips were seized more than a month ago, which is a candidate to continue in 2025.
In addition, the “Wigo” analysis showed that the average hotel prices in Dubai during the current Ramadan recorded a decrease of 54.04%, compared to last year, which led to the increase in search operations for local residencies on “Wego” by 3%. The Wijo data also revealed that the four -star hotels acquired 40.15% of the reservations, as travelers are keen to achieve a balance between quality and value against the cost.
