The sixth edition of the ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon begins today, with the participation of more than 33,000 male and female competitors representing the elite of international and professional runners and all segments of society, organized by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC).
The beginning will be with a marathon race of 42.195 km and a race of the same distance (relay) for two participants, at six in the morning, as the two races begin from ADNOC’s headquarters on the Corniche Road all the way to the finish line at ADNOC Tower, and the 10 km race begins at six thirty in the morning, at The 2.5 km race starts at 08:45 am, and the 5 km race starts at 09:30 am.
A press release stated that the total financial prizes amount to $300,000, with the elite champion for the 42 km distance receiving $50,000, and the elite champion also receiving $50,000, while the value of the wheelchair category prizes is $3,150 for the first place holder in both the men’s and women’s categories. In addition to prizes for second and third place, in addition to prizes for the 10 km race.
