Emirates Global Aluminium announced yesterday the conclusion of the second cycle of the “Ramp-Up” programme, which aims to support the next generation of entrepreneurs and start-ups in the country, noting that 43% of the programme’s participants are women.

In a statement, it said that the program was launched in 2022 with the support of the Ministry of Economy, to provide training courses for entrepreneurs. The second cycle of the program concluded with the organization of a presentation day at the headquarters of Emirates Global Aluminium in the Al Taweelah area, in the presence of the Minister of State for Entrepreneurship, Alia bint Abdullah Al Mazrouei, and the company’s CEO, Abdul Nasser bin Kalban.

EGA is working with C3, a UAE-based social enterprise that supports entrepreneurs in the region to enhance the growth potential of start-ups and increase their positive impact on society and the environment.

Hundreds of entrepreneurs participated in the second round of the programme, which included online training courses on entrepreneurship skills.

Women’s participation reached 43% of the total participants in the program, in addition to 29 local companies.

After the evaluation process, 10 entrepreneurs were selected to participate in the final stage, which included training and guidance, particularly on sustainable business strategies, by experts from Emirates Global Aluminium and C3.
