6 remarkable scenes in the “Amateur” League.. and an administrative decision for Al Dhafra to win

The matches of the first round of the First Division League, which were held last Saturday and Sunday, produced a number of new scenes that reflected the technical value of the league, and the extent of the clubs’ preparations to compete in the current season’s competitions, in addition to the need of the companies’ teams for mechanisms that help overcome the challenges they face, while the television broadcast of two of the matches comes to the fore.

The round matches resulted in Masfout winning over Emirates 3-0, Dibba winning over Al Hamriyah by the same score, Hatta winning over Fujairah 1-0, Al Arabi winning over United by the same score, while Al Dhaid tied with Gulf United 1-1. The following are the most prominent scenes:

The national coaches succeeded in achieving full marks with their teams, as the coaches of: Masfout Moataz Abdullah, Hatta Mohammed Jalbout, Dibba Dr. Abdullah Misfer, and Al Arabi Badr Tabib, succeeded in leading their teams to victory.

The first week witnessed the televised broadcast of the matches between Al Dhaid and Gulf United, and Dibba and Al Hamriyah, which gave an added artistic flavour to the opening of the league, and optimism that the rest of the matches would receive some attention.

Two matches could not be held in the first week of the league, most of which were played by corporate teams. These were the Gulf FC match against Al Dhafra, in which an administrative disciplinary decision was taken to award Al Dhafra a 3-0 win, while the Majd match against Fleetwood was postponed without any explanation for the reasons.

The five matches of the first round witnessed a significant crowd presence, in the confrontation between Al Dhaid and Gulf United, Dibba and Al Hamriyah, and Hatta and Fujairah, despite the hot weather, which suggests that the league will receive a large share of crowd support.

Hatta goalkeeper Salem Khairi topped the list in terms of successful saves in his team’s match against Fujairah, with six saves on goal, outperforming Masfout goalkeeper Rashid Ibrahim (four saves).
