971 thousand commercial licenses in the country at the end of last January


The latest data for the National Economic Registry of the Ministry of Economy showed that the total cumulative balance of active commercial licenses registered in the country amounted to 971 thousand licenses by the end of last January, in the largest number of licenses registered in the country, in an indication of the great economic and commercial activity witnessed by the UAE And its growth is growing as a major commercial and investment center in the region and the world.

According to the data issued yesterday, Dubai acquired 59% of the total commercial licenses issued in the country with about 573 thousand licenses, while more than 21 thousand new licenses were registered in the country during last January alone.

The economic registry pointed out that the largest share of the total licenses registered in the country, issued by the local economic departments in various Emirates, with about 752 thousand licenses.

The Emirate of Abu Dhabi witnessed the registration of 171 thousand licenses at the end of last January, while the Emirate of Sharjah witnessed the registration of 111 thousand licenses, while 61.5 thousand licenses were registered in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, while the remaining number of licenses between Ajman, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain was distributed.
