The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and the Digital Government (Tadra) reported that the UAE got the first place globally in the implementation of optical fiber networks to homes during the year 2025, with a rate of 99.5%.
According to data published by the authority on its accounts on social media, the UAE has maintained its global lead for the ninth year in a row, according to the world rankings of enforcement and spread of optical fibers in countries.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and the digital government, Talal in Al -Hall Al -Falasi, said that “the UAE retaining the first rank globally in the implementation of optical fiber networks to homes for the ninth year in a row, confirms the achievement of the vision of rational leadership in building an advanced digital infrastructure, which enhances the quality of life and enables everyone to reach the latest digital services.”
He added that “the continuous investment in the telecommunications sector reflects the position of the UAE as a global center for innovation.”
In turn, the Director General of the Authority, Eng. Majid Sultan Al -Masmar, said that “the UAE’s continued exporting it in the implementation of the optical fiber network to homes reflects our commitment to enhancing digital infrastructure, and providing the fastest and best communication services, in line with the state’s vision towards digital transformation and technological leadership.”
For his part, Deputy Director General of the Communications Sector, Eng. Mohamed Youssef Al -Ramsi, said that “the providers of telecommunications services in the country were the main pillar in achieving the UAE’s first place in the world in the implementation of optical fiber networks to homes for the ninth year in a row, and we will continue to work with them to ensure a more advanced and innovative future.”
