The clip indicated that the ministry changed the colors of the uniforms for the first, second, third, and fourth grades to be indigo blue with a shirt with blue stripes, with the logo of the “Emirati School.” The circulated video clip also included changing the specifications of the school uniform for grades five to eight, which included a skirt and jacket for female students.
The Ministry recently announced the adoption of the school uniform for the next academic year with new designs and colors, and its unification for all students across the country in public schools, according to specific specifications that are consistent with the national identity, and take into account requirements that are at the heart of the aspects of society and the local environment of the Emirati society, and enhance the values of positive citizenship among students. It pointed out that the new design took into account that the colors are limited to shades of blue and navy, and are unified, attractive and suitable for both genders and different ages. The new uniform is also distinguished by many specifications, such as being comfortable and allowing freedom of movement. The school uniform, which bears the logo of the Emirati school, includes unified summer and winter designs, including coats and summer activity clothes.
The new designs aim to deepen the manifestations of national identity among the youth, according to foundations derived from the school environment and the educational principles and controls related to it.
The Ministry has completed its preparations to provide the required quantities of the new school uniform in various sales outlets, as it has contracted with several companies, calling at the same time on parents and students to visit these centers to obtain the school uniform before the start of the new school year.
The ministry confirmed that all sizes were provided for male and female students of all ages, as coordination was made with the supplying companies to cover and provide all the students’ needs. The ministry took into account the process of determining school uniform prices, so that they take into account the economic circumstances and considerations of families, so as not to constitute any financial burden on them, in addition to providing the uniform in several centers and sales outlets, spread out and covering the cities of the country, to facilitate the process of obtaining it with the least possible effort, noting that parents and students can obtain the school uniform from any sales outlet they wish, and it is not limited to a specific center.
The Ministry has set August 18 as the date for the start of selling school uniforms for the 2019-2020 academic year, and has allocated 85 outlets for sale, distributed across various cities in the country.
