The National Center of Meteorology announced that September is the last month of the summer months, which ends astronomically on the twenty-third of this month, and the fall season begins with the sun being perpendicular to the equator, and then it apparently heads south towards the Tropic of Capricorn.
The center indicated that during this month, the effect of the seasonal Indian depression gradually weakens and recedes, with the country continuing to be affected by the extension of thermal depressions from the center of the Arabian Peninsula, accompanied by relatively active winds that stir up dust, which may lead to a decrease in horizontal visibility at times, while the opportunity remains available for the formation of cumulus clouds accompanied by rain, especially in the eastern region, and its effect may extend to some internal areas of the country.
He added that during September, southeasterly winds also prevail at the end of the night and in the morning, turning to northwesterly winds during the afternoon and evening due to the influence of the land/sea breeze cycle, while the humidity in the air increases slightly during this month compared to August, especially in the second half of it, and the average relative humidity reaches 49%, and as a result, the chances of fog/light fog formation increase in scattered areas of the country.
The National Center of Meteorology expects today’s weather to be generally clear and partly cloudy at times in some areas, with the possibility of cumulus clouds forming in the afternoon in some eastern and southern areas, while it will become humid at night until Monday morning in some coastal areas, with the possibility of light fog forming, and winds will be light to moderate in speed, sometimes active to cause dust during the day, while the sea will be light in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
