Renewing land signs in 25 areas in Dubai

The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai has completed the renovation and maintenance of ground signs in 25 areas as part of the preventive maintenance plans for land signs and lines for the year 2024. Director of the Road Maintenance and Facilities Department at the Traffic and Roads Agency at the Authority, Abdullah Ali Lootah, said: “The re-planning and maintenance of land markings included four main roads: Umm Al Sheif Street, Umm Suqeim Street, Ras Al Khor Street, and Dubai Hatta Road, and the markings were renewed. Ground on the internal roads of 21 areas, including: the first and second commercial center area, the first, third and fourth Al Quoz area, Ghadeer Al Tair, Al Safa the first and second, and Umm Suqeim the second and third, in addition to the re-planning of a number of main intersections (yellow box), including: the intersection of Al-Ittihad with Al-Nahda Street, and the intersection of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Street with Al-Muraqabat Street.”

Lootah added: “The Authority’s work has varied in land markings, including specifying lanes, stopping lines, paid parking, traffic calming means (bumps), pedestrian crossing lines, ground arrows, and renewing land lines at a number of major intersections, in accordance with the highest international standards.” “In addition to providing all safety requirements during the implementation of the works to maintain traffic movement in those locations, and to achieve the highest levels of safety on the road network in the Emirate of Dubai.”
