His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, stressed the importance of strengthening the leading regional and global strategic cooperation and partnerships in the sectors of artificial intelligence, advanced technology, energy and climate, with the aim of supporting efforts aimed at finding effective solutions to emerging climate challenges. .

During his meeting yesterday, at the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre, with more than 80 leaders of the global energy, technology, climate and investment sectors participating in the “ENACT – Activating Action” Council, His Highness explained the necessity of intensifying global efforts made among the various parties concerned to explore effective ways in order to benefit from opportunities. Diversified economic and social opportunities made possible by the close interconnection between the artificial intelligence, energy and climate sectors.

His Highness said, “Real progress in these sectors can be translated into reality on the ground, by supporting the exchange of experiences and knowledge between the global partners concerned in these vital areas.”

His Highness expressed the keenness of the UAE and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to adopt and consolidate the foundations and principles of sustainable practices and solutions in all fields, and to employ the latest artificial intelligence technologies, advanced technology and digital solutions in the vital energy sector, in addition to supporting innovative initiatives and projects in the field of clean energy and low-emission energy, to advance Global development efforts are being made to harness the potential of artificial intelligence in shaping the future of the energy sector and to continue supporting efforts to transition towards clean energy options in the future.

His Highness stressed the importance of this meeting, which brings together an elite group of senior technology, energy and climate leaders, and described it as a global platform to enhance the exchange of knowledge, expertise and experiences in various vital relevant fields, in addition to its pivotal role in supporting sustainable development efforts and efforts to move towards clean energy sources. By unifying joint efforts and visions on employing artificial intelligence solutions and technologies in these fields, to achieve a tangible positive impact at all local, regional and global levels.

The council was held at the invitation of the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Managing Director and CEO of ADNOC and its group of companies, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, under the title “Artificial Intelligence and Energy Together to Enable a Sustainable Future.”

The ENACT Council was held in accordance with the rules of Chatham House, and the event provided global leadership participants with a forum to discuss desired solutions in various relevant fields, based on ancient Emirati traditions.

The Council was held after the publication of a joint report between ADNOC, Masdar and Microsoft entitled “Enhancing Potential: Artificial Intelligence and Energy for a Sustainable Future” and on the eve of the launch of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference “ADIPEC 2024”, which is considered one of the largest global events. The most influential one in the energy sector, whose activities will be held from the fourth to the seventh of November at the ADNEC Center in Abu Dhabi.
