The Director General of Dubai Chambers, Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, revealed expansion plans for the Dubai International Chamber during the coming period, including the opening of new external representative offices within the “Dubai Global” initiative.

Lootah told Emirates Today that it is intended to increase the number of representative offices of the Dubai International Chamber, one of the three chambers operating under the Dubai Chambers umbrella, to 34 offices by the end of this year and the beginning of next year, according to action plans to reach the completion of 50 representative offices by the year 2030. .

Dubai International Chamber recently opened a new external representative office in the city of Almaty, Kazakhstan, this month, bringing the total number of external representative offices of Dubai International Chamber to 32 so far.

Lootah explained that the network of foreign representative offices plays an important economic role, focused on enhancing the attraction of direct foreign investments to Dubai, and supporting growth opportunities for Dubai-based companies’ exports to various foreign markets, in addition to strengthening trade and economic relations with the countries in which offices are opened. representation in it.

He added that representative offices also support opportunities to attract entrepreneurs, innovators and talented people to establish projects in Dubai, in addition to providing the necessary consultations and expertise to member companies in the Chamber to establish commercial partnerships that enable them to expand in the markets in which the offices are located, by finding appropriate partners. .

Lootah stated that foreign representative offices not only allow support for trade and investment relations for Dubai companies in the countries where they are opened, but also provide greater scope for expansion in markets neighboring the country in which the office operates.

He said that Dubai International Chamber is working to expand the network of foreign representative offices, with the aim of consolidating Dubai’s leadership in financial and business centers on the international scene, as these offices play a pivotal role in attracting companies and investments to the emirate, and stimulating the growth of Dubai’s foreign trade in promising markets, in conjunction with enhancing Opportunities for partnerships between business communities, to contribute to supporting the achievement of the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda “D33”.

He pointed out that the current network of external representative offices is chosen to include various high-end markets.
