“Dewa” obtains “ISO” certification

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has succeeded in obtaining accreditation for the global standard “ISO” certificate for trustworthiness in artificial intelligence (ISO/IEC TR 24028:2020), thus becoming the first government institution in the UAE to obtain this certificate, which reflects confidence in systems. Artificial intelligence adopted by the Authority in its various operations, as this global standard covers multiple aspects of adopting artificial intelligence technologies in information systems for organizations. The Authority stated in a statement yesterday that obtaining the certificate came after a comprehensive evaluation conducted by the Swiss company, QS Zurich AG, of the artificial intelligence systems adopted by the Authority in its virtual employee “Rammas,” as well as the robot “Rammas” and the robot “Timmy.”
