Abu Dhabi Police fined 1,000 dirhams for trailers that do not comply with safety requirements

Abu Dhabi Police called on the owners of trailers and semi-trailers of all types and sizes to ensure the importance of providing safety conditions, including a red tail lamp and a reflective plate to alert road users and ensure their compliance with safety requirements, and to review the Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Directorate to conduct the necessary technical examination, license them, place license plates for them legally, and obtain “ Additional number plate” is placed at the back of the trailer

It stated that the movement of unlicensed trailers or those that do not meet security and safety conditions on internal and external roads is considered a violation of the provisions of the Traffic Law in accordance with Article 96, which stipulates a fine of 1,000 dirhams in two cases, the first when towing a vehicle, boat or vehicle without a license and the second when towing a vehicle or A boat or vehicle in a way that does not meet security and safety conditions.

She called for the necessity of ensuring that the trailers are fit to drive on the roads with high efficiency and that there are no problems that cause the trailer to be unusable, or the presence of malfunctions in it, with resulting consequences that may harm the owners and drivers.

She pointed to her efforts to intensify supervision through traffic teams and officers, which continue their work in arresting owners of violating trailers, referring violating drivers to judicial authorities, and taking the necessary legal measures against the perpetrators.
