“Fujairah Environment” intervenes to address the technical malfunction and reduce the rise of fumes

The Fujairah Environment Authority responded effectively and quickly to deal with a sudden technical malfunction in one of the cement factories in the emirate, as the malfunction caused dense smoke to rise from the factory chimney.

The Authority stated that the environmental monitoring and control team moved immediately upon receiving an official report from the factory management, where coordination was made with the operating team and the operations manager, and after conducting a field examination, it was discovered that there was a defect in one of the operating stages that led to the problem, which necessitated taking immediate action.

In a step that reflects an environmental commitment and social responsibility, the authority confirmed that the factory stopped its operations immediately, pledging to correct the defect and submit a comprehensive plan of action to avoid the recurrence of such malfunctions in the future. It also confirmed its readiness to implement all environmental requirements stipulated by the Fujairah Environment Authority.

She stated that the factory submitted a comprehensive technical report to the concerned authorities, which included details about operational procedures, inspection of operating machines, filters used, and techniques for purifying rising fumes.
