The Ministry of Finance promotes partnership projects between the public and private sectors

Today, the Ministry of Finance held a workshop on partnership projects between the federal public and private sectors, with the participation of representatives of 15 federal entities with projects eligible for the partnership.
The workshop aimed to enable these entities to know the basic stages of identifying and evaluating projects eligible for partnership, according to the updated partnership guide recently issued by the Ministry of Finance.
The discussion centered on strengthening institutional capabilities and developing the competent teams’ understanding of effective mechanisms for implementing these projects in a sustainable manner, with a focus on exchanging knowledge and experiences among the participants. The most prominent success stories implemented locally and globally were also reviewed, where successful experiences in implementing partnership projects were highlighted, with the aim of Motivating federal entities to adopt best practices and enhance the benefit of partnership opportunities available between the two sectors.
This workshop aims to enhance awareness among federal agencies of the importance of these partnerships, and how to implement them effectively to achieve the state’s strategic goals, as the Ministry of Finance’s support extends to providing regulatory and technical frameworks that ensure the success of these projects, by building institutional capabilities and providing the necessary guidance for each stage of implementation. .
These efforts come in the context of the UAE’s vision to enhance economic competitiveness, improve the quality of life, and enhance cooperation between the two sectors to achieve mutual benefits that serve the interest of society as a whole, and contribute to building a solid economy capable of facing future changes.
During the workshop, the entities were introduced to how to prioritize projects eligible for the partnership, which are expected to contribute to enhancing the economic development and infrastructure of the state. Emphasis was also placed on building the capabilities of specialized teams within federal agencies, by providing them with the knowledge and tools necessary to prepare the studies required to identify, evaluate, and implement projects efficiently.
