According to the details of the new system to calculate the absence, which was seen by «Emirates Today», and government schools apply it since the start of the second semester of the current academic year 2024-2025, the absence is registered based on the classes per day, that is, the absence is monitored “eight times” in The school day, where the student is registered with the “absence of a full school day” in the “Al -Manhal” system, in the event that he is absent from eight full classes, or if he is late, or permits him during the school day for three classes or more, and according to the new system, if the student is absent from Only one session during the school day, this will appear in the “Manhal” system, as an absence from the specified share only, and not from the entire day.
She stated that repeated absenteeism without an official excuse would lead to a second -degree violation, which results in the equivalent of eight degrees of behavior.
She explained that the new system focuses on enhancing school commitment, reducing unjustified absences, and ensuring that students benefit from classrooms completely, which contributes to achieving academic excellence.
For its part, government schools directed a circular to the parents of the students, stating that the absence model should be mobilized in the event of the student’s absence from the school day, or his inability to attend for any reason, and in the event that the absence is due to illness, a picture of the medical excuse or a medical date must be attached. Or clarify other causes that necessitated absence, such as deaths or travel.
The departments stressed the need to send the aforementioned excuses before the end of each school, in order to avoid calculating the absence of the student without an excuse, which may affect the degree of behavior.
