“Islamic Affairs” adopts the names of 6228 pilgrims for the 2025 season

The General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat approved the names of 6228 pilgrims for the Hajj season this year 1446/2025, as part of its early preparations to ensure the smoothness and ease of performing the pilgrimage ritual.

The commission aims from this step to enable state pilgrims to carry out the required procedures on time smoothly and easily, in a way that meets their needs and satisfies their aspirations, and helps them prepare for this ritual in a reassuring faith atmosphere.

This approved number is the share allocated to the UAE by the authorities concerned with Hajj affairs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The screening process is distinguished this year that 5648 pilgrims (equivalent to 91% of the total number) perform the Hajj pilgrimage for the first time, while the rest are 580 pilgrims representing the incest and accompanying people at 9%, in addition to that 62 additional declarations were allocated by 1% for members of the Affairs Office Pilgrims overseeing pilgrims, in order to ensure the provision of the best services and follow up on their affairs during the performance of the rituals.

The authority confirmed that the admission and accreditation procedures were carried out according to accurate mechanisms and a developed governance system, through the automated screening program, and Cabinet Resolution No. (32) for the year 2018, and according to the approved criteria and conditions, explaining that the number of those who registered for the pilgrimage through the official channels of the authority amounted to about 60 thousand and 248 Tafari, of whom 51 thousand and 732 are preceded by Hajj, and the authority called on all pilgrims who were approved to follow its channels and digital platforms to see the authority’s programs, and choose the campaigns that suit them, confirming the readiness of the State Pilgrims’ affairs office to provide the best services.

On the other hand, the authority adopted the amount of 222 million and 107 thousand and 67 dirhams of Zakat funds for those who are entitled to it, by the end of last year 2024, benefiting about 11 thousand and 525 families within 20 projects, all of which fall under the legal banks approved by the Zakat obligation.
