The Ministry of Economy confirmed that it had not received any requests from suppliers regarding the increase in prices in the holy month of Ramadan, noting that this will support the stability of commodity prices during the Ramadan season, which is characterized by increasing demand at significant rates.

For its part, the “Union Cooperative”, during the meeting, launched its Ramadan campaign for the year 2025, which focuses mainly on supporting societal groups, by providing major discounts on more than 5,000 products and food and non -food, with discounts of discounts of up to 60%.

The CEO of cooperative, Muhammad Al -Hashemi, said that this campaign comes in line with the “Year of Society”, which was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, indicating that the discounts started yesterday and will continue until the end of Ramadan.

He added that the campaign will be available in all branches of the cooperative scattered in Dubai, in addition to its website and store.

Al -Hashemi explained that the discount offers initiative will not be limited to providing products at reduced prices, but also includes the continuity of the initiative to install basic commodity prices that include more than 200 chosen products that change monthly, including commodities that are considered basics, such as rice, meat, and poultry And canned foods, and some products with high consumption in Ramadan.

He stressed that the cooperative worked to provide a large stock that suffices the offers until the end of Ramadan, to keep pace with the increase in consumer demand during the month, pointing out that the cooperative applies an initiative to support the local economy through cooperation with local farms through its partnership with 42 local farms, as the cooperative works to provide products Fresh and membership that meets the needs of society and contributes to promoting the sustainability of local production.

Al -Hashemi pointed out that resettlement is a strategic priority in the “Union Cooperative”, as it is concerned with providing job opportunities for citizens, and is keen to support national cadres through training programs aimed at developing skills and raising the efficiency of Emirati employees in various areas of work within the cooperative.

He pointed out that the cooperative was included in the “National Biological Establishment”, which includes participation in the community service of cadres from the national service, so that they are provided with experiences to work in the cooperative, as well as their experiences in facing emergency conditions such as overcrowding and crowding.
