The Federal Center for Competitiveness and Statistics in the country revealed that the number of Emirati employees in banks operating in the country has reached its highest level in the history of banks, as their number reached 12,995 Emirati employees at the end of last year.

The Center explained in a recent report, issued yesterday, on banks operating in the country, that the number of Emirati employees in banks operating in the country witnessed a clear fluctuation during the past 13 years, reaching 12,649 citizens in 2011, then it decreased to 11,628 citizens during the year. in 2012, then it rose again to reach 11,893 citizens in 2013, and to 12 1,434 citizens in 2014, then decreased slightly to 12,389 citizens in 2015, then decreased significantly to 10,246 citizens in 2016, then to 9,707 citizens in 2017.

According to the report, the number of Emiratis increased to 10,048 citizens in 2018, then decreased slightly to 10,038 citizens in 2019. Regarding the number of non-Emirati employees in banks operating in the country, the report indicated that their number reached 24,850 employees in 2011, then decreased slightly to 24,618 employees in 2012. Their number continued to decline to reach 24,190 employees in 2013. Then it jumped to 26,579 general workers 2014, then to 27,770 workers in 2015.
