A partnership between ADNOC Gas and Emirates Water and Electricity to support the energy sector


ADNOC Gas PLC and its subsidiaries announced a new long-term strategic partnership with Emirates Water and Electricity Company, to support the qualitative shift in the country’s energy sector.
This partnership is based on a flexible sale and purchase agreement for natural gas between ADNOC Gas Utilities Company and the Emirates Water and Electricity Company, extending for 10 years, with a value exceeding 36 billion dirhams ($10 billion).
The announcement of the new strategic partnership was attended by the CEO of ADNOC Gas, Fatima Al Nuaimi, the CEO of Emirates Water and Electricity Company, Othman Al Ali, and a number of members of the executive management of the two companies.
Al Nuaimi said: We appreciate the long-term partnership with Emirates Water and Electricity Company, which is based on a strategic agreement spanning 10 years, which will contribute to supporting the trend towards digital transformation, the growing need for flexibility in communication, and the growing reliance on advanced technology solutions and applications to drive growth. economic growth in the country, in conjunction with accelerating the country’s efforts to reach climate neutrality.
For his part, Othman Al Ali said, “This strategic agreement with ADNOC Gas includes providing flexible and stable supplies of natural gas, which is a major factor in enabling energy transition efforts in the country, and at a time when we are accelerating our efforts in integrating renewable and clean energy.” With advanced technologies, natural gas will play a key role in bridging the gap between traditional and sustainable energy sources.”
Through the agreement, ADNOC Gas will support the strategic plans of the Emirates Water and Electricity Company, to achieve a qualitative shift in the energy sector in the country to become a sector that relies on clean and renewable energy, which enhances diversity and economic growth based on digital technology in the country.
