A standard number waving on the horizon .. a point separating Al -Wasl from the 600 club

Al -Wasl team has become only one point after becoming the fifth club ADNOC Professional League clubs to the 600th point in the history of its participation in the competition in the professional era, after its great victory in the 20th round over its host Al -Jazira by five clean, the day before yesterday, raised his score to 599 points.

There are six games for Al -Wasl in the league competition until the end of the current season against: Al -Wahda, Al -Batal, Al -Ahly, Al -Arabi, Bani Yas, and Sharjah, respectively, which makes him a candidate to overcome the 600 -point barrier.

According to the official statistics of the Professional League League, the “Emperor” has played 390 games so far in the era of professionalism, winning 168 of them, the last of which was against Al -Jazeera the day before yesterday, tied in 95 games, lost in 127 matches, and is equal in the number of matches with both Al Ain, Al -Jazeera, Al -Nasr, and ahead of a match for both Al -Ahly and Al -Wahda youth, which did not taste the bitterness of the first division before.

The “Emperor” will become the fifth club that reaches this number of points, behind the leaders, with 779 points, Al -Ahly youth with 757 points, the island with 727 points, and the unit with 689 points.

However, Al -Wasl and Al -Jazeera are the least crowned with the title of the competition between these teams, with one title for each of them, compared to five eye titles, four for Al -Ahly youth, and three for the island.

Al -Wasl collected these 599 points over 16 seasons, starting from his victory in his first match in the era of professionalism, which he gathered with his host Ajman at the Rashid Bin Saeed Stadium on September 19, 2008, and ended with a clean goal, leading to the Al -Jazeera sweeping by five clean evenings yesterday, in the 20th round.

The most “emperor” season collected the highest number of points last season, with 67 points, which guaranteed him the crowning of his only title in the era of professionalism. As for the second highest rate of points, it was in the 2016-2017 season, with 57 points, ending the season and summer.

While it was the lowest number of points in the 2013-2014 season, when he collected only 25 points, and ended the season in the twelfth place, which is its worst position in its history.

Returning to the current season, the performance of Al -Wasl “the title holder” came in volatility in terms of results, and he was not convincing in many matches, unlike last season, in which he culminated in his impressive levels with the title of the competition with only one loss.

Note that the team paid five defeats after 20 rounds.

The valuable victory over the island will give a great moral boost to the team, especially since it climbed to fourth with 33 points, and it has become a direct competitor for one of the cards qualifying for Asian competitions next season.

Al -Wasl team coach, Milos Meloyevic, expressed his happiness with the great victory over the island with five clean, indicating that it is difficult for other teams to face the “emperor” when he is desirable for the ball.

He said at the press conference after the end of the confrontation: “It was a great match when you win five goals without receiving any goal, I think we performed well, and we entered the atmosphere of the match better.”

He added: “At the beginning, we were a little slow, and we did not register from the opportunities we got, but we kept our calm, and in the second half we entered with a correct mindset.”

He continued: «Even if we put two great opportunities to score, we continued to strive to score the third goal and move the ball quickly, and when we simply play without exaggerating the ball, it becomes difficult for the other teams to confront us, especially when we acquire the ball.

He concluded: “The Al -Jazira team was not at its best, but that never reduces the performance of my team players, and winning five goals without a response. I congratulate the players with this performance, and I congratulate the Al -Jazira team on the sporting spirit, and I wish them all the best.”
