Last week, the beaches of Dubai witnessed a unique sports initiative whose hero was the young British swimmer, Barnabi Rider (17 years old), who has a special challenge to swimming around the world’s islands for a distance of 27 km traveling in a period of time (7 hours, 32 minutes and 12 seconds). The event was organized by the Dubai International Marine Sports Club, which provided full logistical support to the initiative while providing all safety standards, and the medical team accompanying the swimmer before and after and while trying to swim, which took place under the supervision of a specialized team that included his father Mark Ryder, along with Jack Brown from (Super Sports).
He continued the event from the beginning to the end, the director of the Sports Department and the Affairs of the contestants at the Dubai International Marine Sports Club, Mohammed Saif Al -Marri, and Ahmed Hassan Al -Suwaidi, as a supervisor, after the contestant arrived at the finish line, handing him the club’s shield and imitated with the work team, the achievement.
Ryder became the youngest swimmer in this unique experience and completes the distance of 27 km at this amazing time, compared to his young age and his limited experiences he fought in the shores of Dubai before, where he lived 10 years of his life and learned swimming skills with his father Mark in Dubai, and even participated in a number of challenges, including the Ocean Open Water Race that is held periodically in the shores of Jumeirah.
After his success in completing his mission to swim around the Dubai World Islands, Al -Saih Ryder said that he is very happy with this unique achievement, which has been a dream that he chased for a long time, stressing that he represents the incentive to achieve his next big project, which is to cross the English channel next June.
