Abu Dhabi Police enhances students’ awareness of the dangers of “school bullying”


The Abu Dhabi Police Police Directorate in Abu Dhabi Police implemented an educational awareness workshop on the risks of abuse and bullying for students of the Sir Bani Yas School for Educational partnerships in Abu Dhabi, as part of its continuous interest in enhancing basic concepts on school bullying and educating students in ways of preventing it.

The workshop stressed the importance of guiding the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, President of the General Women’s Federation, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation, “Mother of the Emirates”, regarding the “Bullying Prevention Directory in Schools” program, which was implemented by the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood in the schools of the Ministry of Education Education, targeting students, principals, school principals, guides, academic guides, nurses and nurses.

The program was designed to suit the UAE after reviewing more than 13 successful international programs.

The Deputy Director for Administrative Affairs and Operations at the Directorate of External Regions Police and head of the Events and Partnerships team, Brigadier General Mohamed Hussein Al -Khoury, said that bullying is one of the most dangerous phenomena scattered in many societies.

He explained that the awareness workshops for the prevention of bullying are continuing in all public and private schools with the aim of enhancing basic concepts about it, how to deal with bullies, educating students and providing them with the correct knowledge and concepts to build an educated and armed generation with thought.

The head of the Support Services Department at the Al -Falah Police Center and the deputy head of the Events and Partnerships team, Lt. Col. Dr. Faten Muhammad Manahi, confirmed the interest of Abu Dhabi Police in such workshops and awareness lectures in the school environment to enhance awareness of the damage to students from bullying, and the resulting behavioral changes to children, aggressive behavior , Calling on parents to continuously cooperate with the school administration and request assistance from specialists in the relevant authorities to treat the problems caused by bullying.

The coach, Fazer Al -Fazari, reviewed in the school theater the damage of verbal bullying and its effects on children’s behavior in terms of emotional and psychological, and it may extend to reflect on their lives in the future, stressing the importance of rapid dealing by containing the child who is bullying and protecting him.
