Abu Dhabi Police implements the “Celebrate Safely” initiative coinciding with the 53rd Union Day


The Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate called on drivers and the public not to use “party spray” sprays and not to exit the vehicle’s windows or sunroof, as part of the “Celebrate Safely” initiative coinciding with the UAE’s celebrations of the 53rd Union Day.

The Traffic Awareness and Education Section of the Directorate in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Al Dhafra and the outer regions distributed a digital awareness booklet about the controls for Union Day celebrations to drivers, road users and all segments of society through the education and security patrols of the Directorate and urged them to adhere to traffic laws and regulations and cooperate with the traffic officers present. In places where celebrations are held as an expression of pride in the achievements of the nation’s victorious journey

The Directorate called on drivers to adhere to safe driving in national parades and celebrations, and to adhere to many procedures, including not making parade movements, not covering the vehicle’s side and front windows with stickers, not loading the vehicle more than the permitted number, not leaving the windows and sunroof of the vehicle at all, and the necessity of celebrants to adhere to the rules. Traffic, police instructions, and not providing the vehicle with noise materials or inserting unlicensed additives into the engine structure or appendages that affect visibility.
