Aisha Al Hammadi wins the Abu Dhabi Fishing Championship title


The first round of the Abu Dhabi Women’s Fishing Championship concluded yesterday evening, with the first place winners being crowned, after strong competitions between the participants.

Aisha Ibrahim Al Hammadi was crowned first place with a weight of 14.40 kg, while Dana Fayez Al Darwish came in second place with a weight of 5.82 kg, and Souad Abdullah Najm came in third place with a weight of 4.98 kg.

The competition began early in the morning and continued until the evening with the participation of 31 teams

At the conclusion of the tournament, Nasser Al Dhaheri, Director of the Marine Sports Department at the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, and Khalifa Al Suwaidi, General Supervisor of the Race, honored the winners.

Khalifa Al Suwaidi stressed the excellence of the tournament in all its details, noting that the wide participation reflects women’s passion for marine sports, and he looks forward to organizing more events that highlight the role of Emirati women in sports.
