Ajman coach, Serbian Goran Tovacic, announced the readiness of Moroccan international midfielder Abdelhamid Sabiri to play in the Al-Nasr match scheduled for next Saturday at Al Maktoum Stadium, for the fifth round of the ADNOC Professional League.

Sabiri (27 years old) joined Ajman last Monday on loan from Italian Fiorentina, with a contract extending until the end of the current season, to be a replacement for his compatriot Ayman Al-Hassouni.

Goran said in press statements: “Sabiri is ready to play against Al-Nasr, as are the rest of the players. We had five days after the last match against Dibba Al-Hisn, during which we prepared the team perfectly for that confrontation.”

He added: “I am satisfied with the preparations the players made worthy of facing a strong team like Al-Nasr, which includes an elite group of distinguished players across all lines, but I believe very much in my team and its ability to achieve a positive result against Al-Nasr.”

He pointed out: “The result of the Dibba Al-Hisn match was important to us, as we scored the three points after a distinguished performance. We may have played like this in the three matches against Al-Wahda, Shabab Al-Ahly and Bani Yas, but we were not lucky in terms of results. Winning the last match will raise the morale of everyone within the club, and will make the players go into the victory match in high spirits.”

The Ajman coach stressed that he will deal with the Al-Nasr match, like any other match, regardless of his assuming the task of coaching Al-Ameed last season.

He said: “Every match represents a great challenge for me and the players, and our goal is to achieve positive results against all teams, without regard to the strength of the competitors or any other considerations.”

Al-Nasr had dismissed Goran after the seventh round of last season’s league, due to poor results, after which he took over as coach of Al-Wahda, with whom he won the Professional Cup, before moving to Ajman.
