Ajman Government meetings discuss “demographics”, “legislation”, and “competitiveness”

Memorandum of understanding

During the meetings, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the General Secretariat of the Executive Council in Ajman and the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority, with the aim of statistical cooperation, exchange of statistical data, and achieving optimal use of the administrative records of both parties, provided that the two parties work to achieve the objectives of the memorandum in strengthening the bonds of institutional cooperation between the two parties in the field of work. The statistician must systematically achieve integration in statistical efforts, develop a systematic and organized framework for exchanging and reissuing data, and establish a nationally and locally harmonized statistical calendar (the national statistical agenda).

He stressed that the outcomes of the meetings will constitute a road map for action in light of the ideas and continuous dialogues they contain between all officials in government agencies, and the exchange of vital experiences so that all parties can benefit from them to develop a comprehensive vision for development plans in the next stage and preserve the achievements achieved.

His Highness said: “I am very confident that such meetings will bear positive results to enhance cooperation and achieve new achievements, to prove to the world that our national cadres are capable of keeping pace with global developments and leading the process of civilizational development in all fields and sectors.”

The meeting sessions began with a speech by the Secretary General of the Executive Council in Ajman, Dr. Saeed Saif Al Matrooshi, during which he explained that organizing the annual meetings of the Ajman government comes in response to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, and it is a firm call from our leadership to join efforts. As for the legislation file, the participants came up with a group of initiatives, the most important of which are the Local Legislation Guide Initiative, the Local Legislation Index Initiative, the Ajman Government’s Legislative Agenda Initiative, and the Legislative Capacity Building Initiative.
