Al-Abyad loses to Al-Ittihad Alexandria in the “Unity International” Basketball Championship


The UAE national basketball team lost to the Egyptian Al Ittihad Alexandria team (83-106) at the conclusion of the opening day matches of the Al Wahda International Basketball Championship, today, Thursday, held at the “Mubadala Arena” hall, and extending until September 25, under the sponsorship of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and organized by the UAE Basketball Federation, Al Wahda Club, and Global Active Sports Company.

The UAE team performed very well in the first quarter after being a strong competitor to the Egyptian team, which led 28-26. However, in the second quarter, Al-Ittihad of Alexandria raised the pace of play and the difference widened to 18 points with a score of (58-40).
Al-Ittihad maintained its superiority in the third quarter with a score of (86-64), before winning the match with a score of (106-83) in the fourth quarter.
