Al Ain Equestrian Club crowns the champions of the first race of the season


The day before yesterday, Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club crowned the champions of the first race of the season for purebred Arabian horses, in the presence of the Vice Chairman of the Organizing Committee and General Supervisor of the Races, Faisal Al Rahmani, and the representative of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Saeed Al Muhairi.

The race witnessed seven rounds, with the participation of 88 horses, and the total prizes amounted to 505 thousand dirhams.

The colt “Raddad Al Wathba” for Yas Racing Stables, under the supervision of Eric Lemartnell and led by French rider Roxana Legua, topped the second half over a distance of 1600 metres, with the participation of 15 novice horses from “Emirates Production” at the age of four years and above, with a difference of 2.25 lengths from the filly “Nisreen Al Wathba”. », achieving 1:51:29 minutes.

The horse “Will Power” from Al Ajban Stables, under the supervision of Abdullah Al Hammadi, and led by the Omani jockey Qais Al Busaidi, won the first half title for horses aged four years and above over a distance of 1800 metres, with the participation of 11 horses, achieving 2:06:75 minutes.

The horse “Wissam” for the Royal Cavalry of Oman, under the supervision of Ibrahim Al Hadhrami, and led by Connor Beasley, won the title of the third round for a distance of 1,600 metres, with the participation of 14 horses aged four years and above, achieving 1:51:83 minutes.

The colt “Zafir” was given to Abdullah Al-Maamari, the double to trainer Ibrahim Al-Hadrami and the jockey Connor Beasley, with a difference of 14.5 lengths in the fifth half, over a distance of 1,400 metres, with the participation of 10 novice Arab horses at the age of three years, achieving 1:36:95 minutes.

The gray colt “Kev Star” by Obaid Al Marar, supervised by Hamad Al Marar and led by Oscar Chavez, outperformed his competitors by 7.25 lengths in the fourth half, a distance of 1400 meters, for four-year-old Arabian horses, achieving 1:37:31 minutes.

Khaled Khalifa Al Naboodah’s horse, “Fenums,” under the supervision of Ernest Oertel and led by jockey Taj Oshi, clinched the title of the sixth race for a distance of 1,000 metres, with the participation of 15 horses produced by the Emirates, aged four years and above, achieving 1:08:15 minutes.

The evening concluded with the horse “Al-Laith” owned by Al-Rahmani Racing, under the supervision of Ahmed Al-Muhairbi and led by Richard Mullen, winning the title of the seventh “main” race for a distance of 1000 metres, with the participation of 10 purebred Arabian horses, aged four years and above, achieving 1:05:45 minutes.
