Al-Arabiya protests against “refereeing errors” in Al-Jazeera match

Al-Orouba Club confirmed that it had submitted an official protest to the Referees Committee of the Football Association, due to what it called “refereeing errors” in its match with Al-Jazira, which was held last Thursday in the second round of the ADNOC Professional League, and ended with Al-Jazira winning (2-0).

The club stated in a press statement, published on its account on the social networking site “X”, that “Al-Orouba Club always works to support the Emirati referee, and is keen not to interfere with the referees’ decisions, and to give them full confidence, but the refereeing errors that occurred in the Al-Jazira and Al-Orouba match cannot be ignored, especially since they were errors that directly affected the outcome and course of the match’s events. Accordingly, Al-Orouba Club submitted an official protest to the Referees Committee of the Football Association regarding these refereeing errors, demanding the Referees Committee, the relevant committees, and the UAE Professional League to take appropriate measures regarding these refereeing errors.”

The statement stressed that: “Al-Orouba Club is confident that the Football Association and the Referees Committee will not hesitate to take the necessary measures and ensure that such mistakes do not occur in the future.”
