Al Jazira signs with Argentine Ramon Merez


Al Jazira Club officially announced the signing of Argentine player Ramon Merez (27 years old), striker for the Croatian team Osipek, to represent the team starting next season, in search of a replacement for the team’s former striker, the legend Ali Mabkhout, who moved to the Al Nasr team.

The club published the news of the player’s signing on its official account, and foreign newspapers and websites reported that the contract extends for three seasons, in a deal worth 3 million euros. The Argentine striker Merez played with his former team, the Croatian Osijek, 34 matches in all tournaments last season 2023-2024, during which he scored 19 goals and made 7 goals for his teammates.

Al Jazira will start the new season by facing Al Bataeh the day after tomorrow, Sunday, in the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup.
